Mont Ventoux Unicycle Challenge - 29 July 2023
Full day unicycle event.
The principle of this day is to climb alone or in relay the Mont Ventoux by its 3 roads (for a total of 137km and 4400m of elevation).
This is a non competitive event (ok you need to register as a "competitor"), the event will not be timed.

The 3 climbs will be done starting with the most difficult and ending with the easiest.
The itinerary will be as follows: Bédoin / Mt Ventoux / Malaucène / Mt Ventoux / Sault / Mt Ventoux / Bédoin
The departure is planned the 29 July 2023 in the center of Bédoin at sunrise (around 6am) with an end in Bédoin before sunset (9pm-9:30pm).
Time barriers will be provided to leave Malaucène and Sault, for example 11am and 4pm.
The idea is to spend as much time as possible together, especially in the climbs. But we shouldn't all be late.

For this event to gather a maximum of participants, we propose the participation alone or in relays of 2 or 3 (with at least one ascent and descent per participant).
For team, each participant must register individually.
Photos and videos are planned. Thank you for indicating if you do not wish to appear in them.
The road will be open and the respect of the road code is mandatory.
Lodging
It is a very touristic place, cyclists from all over the world meet there, especially at this period.
Be prepared to sleep 2 nights in a tent and don't delay in reserving your place.

Here is the list of campsites close to the start, so be quick to book, it will be full soon.
For information, we are several to have reserved at the campsite "Le Pastory".
Cycling Jersey
The registration cost is largely the cost of the cycling jersey.
We made this choice to show our UNIty on photos and videos (for our memories, for the Brain Institute, for the sponsors).
The purchase of the cycling jersey is not an option for participants. The design will be available soon.
It is possible to buy several jerseys, and to buy jerseys without participating (while stocks last).
We have to order the jerseys before mid-June, if you want to be sure to have a jersey in your size, register before mid-June.

Unicycling Society of France licence
To participate to the challenge, you need a Unicycling Society of France licence. Here is the procedure to get a membership.
Solo finishers
For solo event finishers, there is the possibility of joining the Club des Cinglés du Mont Ventoux.
Registration to this club is not included in the event registration.
Brain Institute
This is also a caritative event. The Brain Institute logo will be on the cyling jersey.
